Food is a delicious necessity of life. We need to eat food to fuel our bodies, but it’s advised to eat a variety of food such as lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. However, it’s sometimes difficult to follow a healthy, balanced lifestyle, especially when you’re surrounded by quick and convenient fast food restaurants. Sometimes, it’s easier to dial up your favorite pizza joint than it is to make a healthy home-cooked meal. It’s advised to eat as healthy as possible and in moderation, so here’s a list of 15 foods to avoid no matter how tempting they are.
Food #15: Fruit Juice
While it’s technically not food, you still shouldn’t consume it. Most people think that juice is healthy, but if you read the label, you’ll soon realize that most “juices” aren’t 100% juice. They’re actually just water and sugar or, even worse, high fructose corn syrup, which contributes to obesity and type 2 diabetes. If you do decide to drink juice, make sure it’s 100% juice with no added fillers or sugar. It’s even better if it’s cold pressed. Also, be sure to limit yourself to four to six ounces per day, and choose a healthier option such as pomegranate, orange, cherry, or blueberry.
